The Tenuta Tegolato accommodation estate is part of the Fattoria Antico Castello di Poppiano winery, passionately managed for over twenty years by the young Cobuccio family.
Poppiano Castle, currently under renovation, dominates the fertile Valdesa valley surrounding the estate. From its battlements, it is possible to admire the sweeping Chianti landscape and even the medieval towers of the picturesque village of San Gimignano.
The surrounding vineyards were planted in 1956 at the request of the former owner Prince Alberto Dimitri Kunz, Prince of Habsburg Lorraine, who created a prestigious brand in particular for the famous "Tegolato", a unique wine worldwide for the very unique way in which it is produced.
Hence the desire to convert the old farmhouse and surrounding buildings into a luxury tourist accommodation complex, which takes its name from the emblematic wine of this territory (Tegolato).
